Altec Lansing Technologies has unveiled its latest inMotion iM portable audio speaker system for the Apple iPod.

The inMotion iM4 Portable Speaker System has been rapturously well received in Las Vegas where the 2005 Consumer Electronics Show is proving immensely popular with consumers.

Altec’s small (26.03cm-x-13.46cm-x-2.54 cm) and lightweight (0.79 kg) iPod speaker are easily portable and performance efficient, capable of delivering 18 hours of audio playback on its four AA batteries.

The speakers’ four-watt digital amplifier can provide clear sounds and deep bass without a subwoofer.

Available in a variety of colours to maintain consistency with personalised iPods, the inMotion iM4 speakers will be available from around February at the reasonable price of £70.
