Altec Lansing has launched a pocket-sized portable iPod speaker system for use with a range of iPods, including the iPod mini and iPod nano.

The $100 inMotion11 (iM11) has twin speakers that use MaxxBass base-boosting technology instead of a subwoofer, and it can fold away to the size of a small book for conveniently carrying around.

It also comes with an iPod docking station that can charge the four AA batteries used at the same time as connecting up to a computer via USB. However, the dock also folds away easily when not actually needed.

The total package also contains an input jack, stereo cable, international power adapters and a carrying case.
