iTunes passes 350 million milestone
Apple has confirmed that its iTunes Music Store has now sold more than 350 million songs worldwide.
The landmark figure means the site, which was launched in April 2003, has sold more than 50 million songs since March alone.
The findings were disclosed at last night’s Mac maker’s Q2 FY2005 earnings conference and clearly confirm maintained consumer demand for the music service.
Analysts are now predicting that the site’s exponential growth could see it reach the billion-song mark before the end of 2005.
