iTunes phone to be released on O2
It has been reported that O2 will be the chosen mobile network to carry the Apple/Motorola iTunes phone.
According to an article in the Times, the phone will allow users to buy songs “while on the move” contrary to other reports.
Sources told the paper that the phone will be on sale on the UK market in time for Christmas and is likely to be charged at a premium price.
O2 declined to respond to the rumours, but told the Times journalists that “music plays an important part of our overall portfolio”.
An official confirmation of the partnership is expected very soon.
