Pioneer unveils in-car iPod adaptor
Pioneer Electronics has unveiled its latest innovative accessory, the AVH-P5700DVD in-car iPod adaptor.
The US manufacturer exhibited the product at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and is now hoping for a March-time release date with the UK market receiving the adaptor shortly after.
The iPod device will allow owners of any Pioneer car stereos featuring the IP-Bus system to play their iPods through the vehicle’s stereos.
The device will provide crisp digital sound, come equipped with audio video input, enhanced iPod controls capability, vehicle dynamics processor capability and satellite radio capability.
“We continue to offer the most competitive mobile audio video products in the market,” said Michael Townsen, director of marketing for the mobile entertainment division of Pioneer Electronics.
“The AVH-P5700DVD is an excellent audio video product and with other add-on Pioneer components such as VDP and navigation, the system becomes a full-blown information and entertainment system.”
According to reports, the Pioneer iPod adapter will retail from around £75.
