Toys look to iPod for inspiration
A number of iPod inspired children’s toys got their first outing this week at the American International Toy Fair exposition.
MGA Entertainment unveiled its Bratz iPod chair, a small seat that is also a speaker to pump out iPod music.
And building on the success of the ultra-cool disco dancing flowers in the 1980s, MGA has introduced mini “Petz” that move in time to the iPod music.
These are cute models of rabbits, pigs and cats, which fit in the hand and can be connected to an iPod.
Toy-maker Corgi has come up with a similar idea, with two model cars that rock and with parts that illuminate in time to the tunes, according to iLounge.
Finally Spin Master is allowing kids to get interactive by making their own music with their iPods. iDrum and iMix are two plastic iPod cases that protect the device from damage.
However, they also include a drum pad and scratching device respectively, letting children play at being a cool drummer or DJ in time to their iPod tracks.
